Christmas!

Better late than never, right?
So, Christmas celebrations were at home, and the family came over. It was wonderful, I'll show you the pictures of the gathering some other time (if you know me, probably never... LOL), but today I wanted to show you a bit of my Christmas accomplishments, which I'm proud of.
First my nail polish. I chose a dark pink called Beijo Roubado from Colorama.


Second the decoration. I set the table early in the afternoon and my beloved husband took the picture, which shows some home decor I made myself, and also the Christmas tree also decorated with my two boys posing in front of it.



Third my make up and what I chose to wear for the ocasion. And I have to say that I wore for the first time false lashes...

Então, as comemorações de Natal foram em casa, e a família veio para cá. Foi maravilhoso, mostro as fotos da reunião num outro momento (se você me conhece, talvez nunca... rs), mas hoje eu queria mostrar um pouco das minhas conquistas de Natal, as quais me orgulho bastante.
Primeiro o esmalte. Eu escolhi um rosa bem fechado chamado Beijo Roubado da Colorama.
Segundo a decoração. Eu arrumei a mesa no começo da tarde e meu querido marido tirou a foto que mostra uns home decor que eu mesma fiz, e também a árvore de Natal decorada com meus dois meninos posando em frente a ela.
Terceiro minha maquiagem e o que escolhi vestir no dia. E tenho que dizer que usei pela primeira vez cílios postiços...

sick

Yesterday and today I woke up feeling very sick. The only difference is that today my whole body aches and because I'm taking some medications, I felt sleepy all day long (yesterday I felt better during the day, but at night I felt a bit cold and pain all over my body).
Better days are ahead of me. I do believe I'll woke up tomorrow feeling just fine. Let's see!

Ontem e hoje eu acordei me sentindo muito mal. A única diferença e que hoje meu corpo inteiro dói e porque estou tomando uns remedinhos, fiquei com sono o dia todo (ontem me senti melhor durante o dia, mas a noite senti um pouco de frio e dor no corpo).
Dias melhores estão por vir. Eu realmente acredito que amanha vou acordar me sentindo ótima. Veremos!

Leaving some other lay-outs to be shown in another opportunity (later on this week, ok?), I decided to show one of the last lay-outs I did, after my two kids had taken a picture with Santa in the shopping center last week.
I used Fancy Pants Saint Nick collection, glimmer mist and Thickers, nothing else...

Hello everyone!
If you know me, you probably know that I love make up and nail polish. I really do.
And since I'm not working any more, I decided to be my own manicure, just because I like doing it. And, because I decided doing so, I started buying my own nail polish.
Simple... That's why, I also decided to show you which nail polish I bought and decided to use, and give you my thoughts on that.
This week I chose this one by Impala, called Patins. It's a pale beige color, kind of nude. It made me feel very classy. It's really easy to use it. Two coats and the effect is really nice. Simply loved it!

Se você me conhece, você provavelmente sabe que eu amo maquiagem e esmaltes. Eu amo mesmo.
E já que eu não estou mais trabalhando, eu decidi ser minha própria manicure, simplesmente porque gosto de fazer minhas unhas. E já que eu decidi fazer isso, eu comecei a comprar meus esmaltes.
Simples... Por isso, eu também decidi mostrar a vocês qual esmalte eu comprei e decidi usar, e falar o que achei dele.
Essa semana eu escolhi este da Impala, chamado Patins. É um bege pálido, meio nude. Me fez sentir bem chique. É muito fácil de aplicar. Duas camadas e o efeito é muito legal. Adorei!

This lay-out I did because I really wanted to try out the technique presented by the über talented Dina Wakley. Of course I don't have all the "instruments" she used for the butterflies, so I did it my way.
Instead of modeling paste I used gesso (because I don't have modeling paste...), instead of using palette knife I used a tissue (because I don't have a palette knife...), and instead of using a mini mister with ink, I used acrylic paint mixed with a great amount of water and a brush (just because I don't have a mini mister or ink). And I really liked the result! And if you like, you should really give it a try...

Esse lay-out eu fiz porque eu queria muito tentar a técnica apresentada pela mega talentosa Dina Wakley. Claro que não tenho todos os "instrumentos" que ela usou para fazer as borboletas, então fiz do meu jeito.
Ao invés de usar modeling paste eu usei gesso (porque eu não tenho modeling paste...), ao invés de usar palette knife eu usei um lencinho (porque eu não tenho palette knife...), ao invés de usar um mini mister com ink eu usei tinta acrílica misturada em água e um pincel (simplesmente porque eu não tenho um mini mister ou ink). E eu realmente gostei do resultado! E se você gostou, você deveria tentar...

First lay-out

So, after being unemployed for about two weeks I decided to go back to what I really like doing... crafts! But because I was away for such a long time, I needed some inspiration that could also be a guide, that's when I found Ali Edward's portfolio with so many beautiful lay-outs, and they are so eye-catching, I thought I should give a try.
And here is the result - baseball:

That's it, my first lay-out after more than a year. I'm very happy with it, although it's not my style, but it's a symbol to me... a symbol of the good things in my life!
Tomorrow I'll show the second.

Depois de estar desempregada por umas duas semanas eu decidi voltar a fazer o que eu realmente gosto... artesanato! Mas porque eu estive longe por tanto tempo, eu precisava de uma inspiração que também fosse um guia, e foi quando eu encontrei o portifolio da Ali Edward com tantos lay-outs lindos, de encher a vista, que eu resolvi tentar.
O resultado - baseball - dá pra ser visto acima e também um detalhe da costura.
É isso, meu primeiro lay-out depois de mais de um ano. Eu estou feliz com o resultado, apesar de não ser meu estilo, mas é um símbolo pra mim... um símbolo das coisas boas na minha vida!
Amanhã mostro o segundo.

Back...

Well, it took me some days to come back, but I'm not used again to have to write here. I will, though.
I disappeared, it's a fact. And it all happened at once. I quit my job, remember? On the week I quit my job (I was working at Yazigi) - I talked to the coordinator on a Monday - I received a call on Friday from another school asking if I was interested in taking their training course for a position as a teacher, and I said yes. They promised nothing to me, only after the training course we would speak again. The course last for a month and it is in São Paulo. So imagine, me, Davi and Daniel in my mother's house... it was difficult!
I didn't know at that time if I really wanted to continue working or not, if I was unhappy at the place I was, so I thought I'd give it a go. Why not?
After the training I was hired to work at Cultura Inglesa, and there I stayed for 1 year and 1 month. There was an episode, which I won't comment about, which changed everything in my life. I decided to quit again, and for this time not to go anywhere.
I am happy being a full time mom (except for the time they are at school: this time is mine) and I really don't want any other job. Really happy to have time to create again, because ever since I haven't scrapped a single thing. Mostly happy not to have to work while my kids are asking for my attention!
Next days I'll be posting my new pages...

Bem, demorei uns dias pra voltar, mas é que não estou acostumada novamente a ter que escrever aqui. Mas eu vou.
Eu desapareci, é um fato. E tudo aconteceu de uma só vez. Eu pedi demissão, lembra? Na semana em que eu pedi demissão (estava trabalhando no Yázigi) - eu conversei com a coordenadora numa segunda - eu recebi uma ligação na sexta-feira de uma outra escola perguntando se eu estava interessada em participar do curso de treinamento deles para uma posição de professor, e eu aceitei. Eles não me prometeram nada, somente após o treinamento é que conversaríamos. O curso dura 1 mês e é em São Paulo. Então imaginem eu, o Davi e o Daniel na casa da minha mãe... foi difícil!
Naquela época eu não sabia se queria continuar trabalhando ou não, se eu estava infeliz no local em que estava trabalhando, então dei uma chance. Por que não?
Após o treinamento eu fui contratada para trabalhar na Cultura Inglesa, e lá eu fiquei por 1 ano e 1 mês. Houve um episódio, que não vou comentar, que mudou tudo em minha vida. Decidi pedir demissão novamente, e dessa vez para não ir a lugar algum.
Estou feliz por ser mãe em tempo integral (exceto pelo tempo em que estão na escola: esse tempo é meu!) e eu realmente não quero nenhum outro emprego. Muito feliz de ter tempo para criar de novo, porque desde então não fiz mais nenhum scrap. Mais feliz ainda de não ter que trabalhar enquanto meus filhos pedem minha atenção!
Nos próximos dias postarei minhas novas páginas...

Hello you all.
It's been a while, I know.... This is something I've actually thought a lot about: should I give it another try or not? Why not?
So, here I am, once again, and I'll try to be faithful to the readers (fancy, hun?), to the blog and to myself.
During the week I'll try to recap all the important facts that happend in my sad and boring life while I was away.

Faz tempo, eu sei... Isso é algo que eu tenho pensado muito a respeito: devo dar mais uma chance ao blog ou não? E por quê não?
