Good things...

I have been careless about this blog. I believe in the past I loved it more... I have to confess that I don't love posting here, but I believe I must. That's why sometimes I disappear.

Anyways, I have scrapped a lot lately and am so behind in sharing all the good things that have happened, that I'll try to remember them all and also will be uploading the pictures.

Since January I have gotten a subscription of Studio Calico's kits, and they are wonderful, because they make me create out of my comfort zone, and I get amazed with all I have been able to do with the papers and embellishments that come in it. It's not that I don't or didn't believe I was able to, but it's so nice to work with that amount of things and see how unlimited creativity is... Beautiful! So, I challenged myself to go even further: to scrap as much as I can with one kit.

With the January kit I did 6 layouts. Three I've shown before (Fly High, Relax and Say Cheese), and today I'll share two others, because there is one I need to finish the journaling and will be uploading soon.

The first one is Friends and it's about the friendship my two boys have despite de age:


The second is at the zoo, which is just a simple page to document one of the many times we went to the zoo with the kids:


And now the good news! I won a box full of Amy Tangerine's products at the American Crafts blog. It arrived on Monday and I took a lot of pictures while I was getting mesmerized at all the amazing things that came inside! Take a look:

Eu tenho sido descuidada com este blog. Acredito que no passado eu o amei mais... Devo confessar que eu não gosto de ficar postando aqui, mas acredito que devo. Por isso por vezes eu desapareço.

Bem, tenho feito bastante scrap ultimamente e estou muito atrasada em mostrar as páginas e até mesmo em dividir as coisas boas que aconteceram, mas vou tentar lembrar todas elas e também vou colocar as fotos aqui.

Desde janeiro tenho recebido os kits da Studio Calico, e eles são maravilhosos, porque eles me permitem criar fora da minha zona de conforto, me fazem ficar boba de ver tudo o que consigo fazer só com os papéis e "enfeites" que vêm no kit. Não que eu não ache que não seja ou fosse capaz, mas é tão legal ver as páginas surgindo com o que vem dentro da caixa e ver também que a criatividade é ilimitada. Lindo! Então, resolvi me desafiar ainda mais: tentar fazer o máximo de scrap possível com um só kit.

Com o kit de janeiro consegui fazer 6 páginas. Três já mostrei aqui antes (Fly High, Relax e Say Cheese), e hoje vou mostrar outras duas, pois a última ainda tenho que terminar o journaling e então vou deixar para depois.

A primeira página acima chama-se Friends e é sobre a amizade dos meus filhos apesar da idade.

A segunda chama-se at the zoo, que é uma página simples falando sobre uma das vezes que fomos ao zoológico com os meninos e eles curtiram bastante.

E a boa notícia! Ganhei uma caixa cheia de produtos da Amy Tangerine no blog da American Crafts. Chegou na segunda e tirei bastante fotos pra mostrar enquanto ficava boquiaberta com todas as coisas maravilhosas que vieram dentro da caixa. Dá uma olhada! (desculpem a luz... já era depois das 18h). Obrigada American Crafts!

The day I went to the hospital

Hello you all!
Today I went to the hospital. You know, I was really proud about my running achievement in running class at the gym on Tuesday (I ran about 6.5km), but then I started to feel this pain in my left foot. A very annoying pain. So, today I went to hospital to check. It seems I have a nerve problem (isn't it funny?), but nothing serious, thank God! No running for me for a while...
Today I'll show you three layouts I did before started studying like crazy, but never showed cause I hadn't finished at that time the journaling. All of them are at Yummy's store! (see, I'm getting fancier with time... my layouts are displayed at a store... LOL)

Hoje eu fui ao hospital. Sabe, estava muito feliz com a minha conquista na terça durante a aula de corrida da academia (corri por cerca de 6,5km), mas aí comecei a sentir uma dor no meu pé esquerdo. Uma dor bem chata. Então, hoje fui ao hospital para darem uma olhada. Parece que estou com um problema no nervo (engraçado até, né?), mas não é nada sério, graças a Deus! Sem aula de corrida por um tempo...
Hoje vou mostrar a vocês três páginas que fiz antes de começar a estudar feito louca, mas não havia mostrado porque não tinha terminado o journaling. Todas as páginas estão na loja da Yummy's! (tô ficando chique bem... minhas páginas ficam expostas numa loja... rs)

Having fun

Today I scrapped! What an awesome feeling. I was so happy about that that I went to Yummy's to show my layout around, and it's there.
During the whole month of March and part of April I was studying for some tests I took (which I won't talk about... too boring!) and for that reason I didn't scrap much (maybe one or two layouts), and it was driving me nuts not to.
So, after finishing my layout, I took pictures of it to upload here to you all, and then it occurred to me that my favorite website for photo editing - Picnik - didn't exist anymore! I knew that was going to happen, but because I wasn't using it, I completely forgot. So that you understand me a bit: I didn't take a single photo the entire month of March! Can you believe? Sad... Well, then I came across this incredible photo editing website: PicMonkey.
Anyway, I still have some layouts to showcase, but I'll do that later (no promises... trying to get back to my New Year's resolution...). So, here is my today's creation (which I am most proud of): Having fun at the beach

Hoje eu fiz scrap! E que sensação boa. Fiquei tão feliz com isso que fui até a Yummy's mostrar a todos meu feito e a página ficou por lá.
Durante todo o mês de março e parte de abril fiquei estudando para uns testes (os quais não vou falar a respeito... muito chato!) e por essa razão não fiz scrap (talvez uma ou duas páginas), e isso estava me deixando louca.
Então, após terminar a página, tirei foto dela para mostrar a vocês e daí me lembrei que meu site favorito para edição de fotos - Picnik - não existe mais! Eu sabia que isso iria acontecer, mas como não o estava usando, acabei me esquecendo disso. Só para vocês entenderem um pouquinho: eu não tirei uma única foto durante todo o mês de março! Dá pra acreditar? Que triste... Mas aí eu acabei topando com um site incrível de edição de fotos: PicMonkey.
Bem, eu ainda tenho alguns layouts para mostrar, mas farei isso mais tarde (sem promessas... ainda tentando retornar a minha resolução de ano novo...). Então aqui está a minha criação de hoje (da qual estou muito orgulhosa): Having fun at the beach

Again, just a quick post to show another layout. For this one I used an old collection I hadn't used before from Crate Paper - even though I love these papers!
I used the 3X4 pictures of my kids - have to confess that I have no idea why I haven't got pictures from 2008 and 2009 of my oldest... Bad mom!

It's almost time for my birthday and I had a lovely day with my beloved ones. What a great way to start one more great year in one's life! I do hope my 34 years of age can be just as good as all the other 33 (because there are some awesome things that happened and can never happen again...), I'm hoping for it!

I'm alive!

Hello you all! It's been quite awhile, but I'm pretty much still alive.
After I came back from São Luís, I decided to take a week off, and what was my surprise when my maid decided to take herself two weeks off (due to a pain in her knee)! Can you imagine? Me, cleaning? I was on the verge of having a nervous breakdown... Anyway, I survived, and I was getting good at it... So, because it took me some time to believe she would be coming every day, I didn't produce anything on the third week... Just observing. But now, I have made some pages and finished the mini, after adding all the bits I wanted to the pages that were already ready.
But today, I have to post something in order to thank a special person. Last year, when I started uploading pictures of nail polishes, a good friend came to my house with her nail polish for me to try and put on my blog. It was the end of the year, and you know how time flies in December. So, here I am, thanking with all my heart my good friend Ariela Monteiro. Thanks dear!

Olá a todos! Faz bastante tempo, mas eu continuo viva!
Após minha volta de São Luís, eu decidi tirar uma semana de folga, pra ajeitar as coisas aqui em casa, mas pra minha surpresa minha empregada resolveu tirar duas semanas (por conta de uma dor no joelho)! Vocês podem imaginar? Eu, limpando tudo? Eu estava a ponto de ter um colapso. Bem, sobrevivi e sabe que eu estava ficando boa nos serviços... E como levou um tempo pra eu acreditar que ela estava realmente de volta, acabei não produzindo nada na terceira semana... Fiquei só observando. Mas agora, eu fiz algumas páginas e terminei o mini álbum, após acrescentar alguns detalhezinhos às páginas que estavam prontas.
Hoje, no entanto, vou postar algo para agradecer uma pessoa especial. Ano passado, quando comecei a colocar fotos de esmaltes, uma amiga querida veio até a minha casa com um esmalte dela pra eu experimentar e colocar no blog. Foi no final do ano, e vocês sabem como o tempo passa rápido em Dezembro. Então, aqui estou, agradecendo de todo meu coração minha querida amiga Ariela Monteiro. Obrigada querida!

While editing some pictures for the continuation of the mini album, let me tell you that today it rained... Oh my, and it really rained here in São Luís. I must say that it's the first time it rains here since the 28th of December, when we arrived. And part of me was sad while another was really happy (always for the sake of my kids), because my intention for this week was to go to the beach everyday, so people would really believe I've spent more than 3 weeks in the north-east of Brazil. What I mean is: where is my sun tan?
Anyway, we managed to go to Projeto Reviver (in the historical downtown) and I took some pictures... I'm actually in love with taking pictures! Maybe I'll have photography as a hobby. (LOL)

Devo dizer que é a primeira vez que chove aqui desde o dia 28 de dezembro, quando chegamos. Uma parte de mim ficou triste enquanto outra ficou muito feliz (para o bem dos meus filhos), porque minha intenção nessa semana era a de ir à praia todos os dias, para que as pessoas realmente acreditassem que eu passei mais de 3 semanas no nordeste do Brasil. O que quero dizer é: onde está o meu bronzeado?
De qualquer modo, conseguimos ir no Projeto Reviver (no centro histórico) e eu tirei algumas fotos... Estou amando tirar fotos! Talvez fotografia se torne um hobby pra mim. (risos)
